My existential problem is almost solved. The solution is quite simple: to prepend every span with Left-to-Right Override (LRO; U+202d) code.
Yes, I said almost, because #i51400 is blocking #i51402.
That is why I did not include this issue into cws fs02, but created a separate cws fs03.
